Best Ever Taco Pizza
Refried beans, cheese, romaine lettuce, crushed tortilla chips, and ranch dressing are all added to this taco pizza as toppings. Wow is the simplest way to put it.
Making a Taco Pizza:
The majority of our pizza recipes demonstrate how Italians make theirs. However, we're deviating now! Here's our take on taco pizza in American fashion.
Choose refried beans rather than tomato sauce.
The nicest part about taco pizza is that it has a thin coating of refried beans on top instead of red pizza sauce. It's really excellent if you've never tried it! Use your preferred refried bean can. Some of them are even flavor- and prep-ready. If they are bland after tasting them, add a little cumin and salt. Make your own instead!
Consume plenty of veggies.
We included a lot of veggies because this taco pizza is vegetarian. In addition to the refried beans, there are additional tomatoes, green onions, and black olives. Chopped romaine lettuce adds the perfect crunch.
The secret is to add tortilla chips and ranch on top!
Ranch dressing and tortilla chips. Greek yogurt adds a nutritious twist to this homemade ranch dressing, making it the ideal match. This pizza with tacos tastes absolutely amazing! Try this; you have to. Stat.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ball of Best Pizza Dough (or Thin Crust Dough, or Food Processor Dough)
- a third of a cup of canned or homemade refried pinto beans
- 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 onions green
- 1 handful of sliced black olives from a can
- A half-romaine heart
- 3 cherry tomatoes or a half tomato
- Homemade Ranch Dressing, 2 tablespoons
- 3 tortilla chips made from organic corn
- For the garnish, use hot sauce.
- Halal salt
- Use cornmeal or semolina flour to sprinkle the pizza peel.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Make the pizza dough by following the directions in the Best Pizza Dough recipe. (This has to be made and lets to rest for 45 minutes.)
- Heat the oven to 500°F and add a pizza stone. Alternately, preheat your pizza oven (this is the one we use).
- Get the toppings ready: If necessary, add a sprinkle or two of cumin and a pinch of kosher salt after tasting the refried beans. (Ours were well-seasoned already.) Slice the green onion very thinly. Lettuce is to be chopped. Make tomato cuts.
- Bake the pizza: When the oven is preheated, sprinkle cornmeal or semolina flour on a pizza peel. (If you don't have a pizza peel, you may use the back of a rimmed baking sheet or a baking sheet without a rim. However, a pizza peel is definitely worth the cost.) See How to Stretch Pizza Dough for details on how to stretch the dough into a circular. After that, carefully transfer the dough to the pizza peel.
- Using a spatula, apply the refried beans in a thin layer over the dough. Black olives and half of the green onions are placed on top of the cheddar cheese. Add a dash of salt on top.
- Carefully transfer the pizza to the hot pizza stone using the pizza peel. Pizza should be baked for 5 to 7 minutes in the oven (or 1 minute in a pizza oven) until the cheese and dough are well browned.
- Add the crumbled tortilla chips, diced tomatoes, romaine, and the saved green onions on top. Add spicy sauce, if desired, and drizzle with ranch dressing. Serve right away after slicing into pieces.
